Sizing and Yarn

• The ratio of colors is approximately 4:2:2:1. (cream/light pink/multi/hot pink)
• Sizes can be affected by your crochet tension and type of yarn. This is also a very stretchy stitch, so blocking affects the final size.

Moss Stitch Crochet Blanket, Written Instructions

Row 1

1. Color A (cream). Chain any even number. I crocheted 86 stitches.
2. Sc into fourth chain from hook.
3. *Ch1, skip 1, sc in the next chain. Repeat from * to the end. Last stitch will be a sc. Turn

Row 2

1. Continue with color A (I changed color so you could see more clearly.)
2. Ch 2 (counts as 1 single crochet), sc into first ch-1 space below.
3. *Ch1, sk1, sc into the ch-1 space below,
4. Repeat from * across row, end with a sc into turning chain. Turn.

Row 3 (this is the same as row 2)

1. Continue with color A (I have changed color so you could see the stitches more clearly.)
2. Ch 2 (counts as 1 single crochet), sc into first ch-1 space below.
3. *Ch1, sk1, sc into the ch-1 space below,
4. Repeat from * across row, end with a sc into turning chain. Turn.

Row 4 and Beyond

Continue row 3 in the following color combination. Until your desired length.

• Row 1-4 – Color A (cream)
• Row 5 – Color B (light pink)
• Row 6 – Color C (multi-color)
• Row 7 – Color D (hot pink)
• Row 8 – Color C (multi-color)
• Row 9 – Color B (light pink)

Introducing new colors to your chunky moss stitch crochet blanket adds a personalized touch. Pom-Poms

Add a pom pom using the yarn. (How to make a pom-pom). I used a pom-pom maker and made 4 pom-pom that were 4 inches across in size. The thick pom poms used 50m (55y) of yarn.

To attach them, use a crochet hook to pull one of the long ends of yarn through the blanket corners. Tie securely with a double knot and trim ends.
