Special Stitch – Scblo

Scblo or single crochet back loop only, is used for the ribbing at the waist of the tank. It is just like a regular single crochet, except for where the hook is inserted.

  1. Insert hook in back loop. (Look at the top of the stitch. You’ll see it has a V-shape composed of two loops – the front loop and the back loop.)
  2. YO, pull through (2 loops on hook).
  3. YO, pull the yarn through both loops. (1 loop on hook)
Back loop only

Instructions

Triangle Tops

  1. Use 4mm hook.
  2. ROW 1 – Chain 3. 2 Dc in 3rd chain from hook (1st chain). Turn.
  3. ROW 2 – Chain 3, 2dc into base of chain. Skip 1 and 3dc into last stitch (into top of turning chain). Turn.
  4. ROW 3 – Chain 3, 2dc into base of chain. 3dc into space in center. 3dc into last stitch (into top of turning chain). Turn.
  5. ROW 4 – Chain 3, 2dc into base of chain. 3dc into the next 2 spaces. 3dc into last stitch (into top of turning chain). Turn.
  6. Continue *(ch3, dc2), 3dc in spaces and 3dc at end* for following sizes, measured at the widest part of the triangle. This should be ¼ your bust.
  7. REPEAT – 3 more times so you have 4 triangles. Line them up with the tail ends all on the right,
