1. Start with a magic ring in color A blue, or ch4, and join with a sl st to make a loop.

Round 4: Blue

1. All in color A (blue).
2. Ch 1 (doesn’t count as stitch), sc in same stitch as your joining st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st.
3. * Sc in next st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st.
4. Repeat from * around, joining with a sl st in the first sc. (48 stitches)

Round 5: Blue

1. Ch 3 (counts as first tr), [tr, Ch 2, 2 tr] into the same stitch (first corner).
2. Sk 2, 3 dc in next stitch, Sk 2, 3 dc in next stitch, Sk 2, 3 dc in next stitch, sk2.
3. *[2 tr, ch 2, 2 tr] in next st.
4. Sk 2, 3 dc in next stitch, Sk 2, 3 dc in next stitch, Sk 2, 3 dc in next stitch, sk2.
5. Repeat from * 3 times.
6. Finish the round with a sl st into the 1st tr.

Round 6: Light Blue

This is the border of the square. In this round, you can keep your background ‘sky’ color or change color if you would like a different color border.

1. Join color C to any corner space.
