Instructions
Measure your baby's waist and the length from waist to knee.
Cut 2 rectangles of fabric: Width = total waist measurement, Length = waist to knee + 2"
On the wrong side of the rectangles, press the top and bottom long edges over by ¼" then ¾". After pressing, gently open up the edges.
With the rectangles right sides together, stitch the sides. (All the way to the top of the open pressed edges). Finish the seams.
Fold the pressed top and bottom back over.
Stitch around the top casing leaving a ½" gap on one side.
Stitch the hem.
Thread the elastic through the gap in the casing with a safety pin.
Stitch the gap closed. Decorate with lace or ric-rac.
